Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using paistra (the “Service”), a gallery for submitting, sharing, playing, and commenting on mobile web games, and the rights and obligations of users and the Service.

2. Definitions

• “User” means anyone who accesses the Service and uses it under these Terms, with or without an account.
• “Developer” means a member who submits the URL and description of a game they made or have the rights to list.
• “Curated listing” means a game listed by the Service itself under the game’s license, with credit to its original authors.
• “Content” means everything posted on the Service, including game information, images, comments, notices, and updates.

3. Accounts

You must be 16 or older to create an account. You can sign up with an email address and password or with a supported social account, such as Google or GitHub. If you sign up with an email address, you need to verify it before you can submit games, comment, report, or upload images. If you use someone else’s information or give false information, including your age, we may restrict your use of the Service.

4. Submitting games

• Submissions must be playable games that work in a phone browser. You may only submit games you have the rights to.
• Games may not contain or promote real-money gambling or betting, sexually explicit content, graphic violence or self-harm, hate or harassment, scams, phishing, or malware, or material that infringes copyrights or trademarks, including unauthorized copies or reskins of other games.
• Choose an accurate age rating. Age ratings are set by developers and aren’t verified by us, and we may change a rating that’s wrong.
• Keep the submitted URL working, and don’t change a game’s URL or content into something different from what you listed. If a published game’s website changes, the game is taken off the Service until we check the new URL.
• The Service doesn’t host games. Each game’s behavior, data handling, and security are the responsibility of its developer.
• We may hide or remove games that break these rules, with or without notice, and restrict the accounts that submitted them.
• We may list third-party games whose licenses allow it as curated listings, credited to their authors. Authors can ask us to correct or remove a curated listing at any time using the contact in section 8.

5. Comments and other content

• You may not post content that defames or insults other users, advertising or spam, sexual content, or illegal information.
• We may hide reported content automatically, when several users report it, or after reviewing it. Accounts that repeatedly break these rules may be restricted, and their games are taken off the Service while the restriction lasts.
• You keep the copyright to the content you post. The Service may use it only as needed to display, search, and summarize it within the Service.

6. Changes and interruptions

We may change or discontinue features for operational or technical reasons. We’ll announce important changes on the Service.

7. Limitation of liability

The Service doesn’t guarantee the accuracy or safety of games and content submitted by users or listed from third parties, and doesn’t intervene in disputes between users or between users and third parties.

8. Copyright and removal requests

To report a game or other content that infringes your copyright or trademark, email the contact on our About page with the link to the content, a description of the work you own, your contact details, and a statement that you’re the rights holder or are authorized to act for them. We’ll hide the content while we review your request and let the submitter know, and they may respond. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will be brought before the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
